Bees and Honey

The Bees Knees

When bees flit from flower to flower, the nectar sticks to their legs. The phrase "bee's knees" means sweet and good, because the knees of the bee are where all the sweet, good stuff is collected.

Currently, we have four hives on the property. While they're more active in the spring and summer months, we care for our bees year around.

Local Honey

Unity Grove Farm has a variety of sizes of local honey for sale while the supply lasts. We harvest all the honey from hives that are located on the property.

The honey we sell is 100% pure. It's not pasteurized or micro-filtered, which means you get the full nutritional benefits that nature offers. These two processes eliminate yeast and pollen residue from the honey to delay the onset of crystallization and fermentation.

When available, you may purchase honey by visiting the Unity Grove Store. If you wish to buy honey at other times of the year, please call 404-831-2807 to see what's available.
